Your privacy is important to Takemyspare. This privacy statement provides information about the Personal Information that Takemyspare collects, and the ways in which Takemyspare uses that Personal Information.
Takemyspare provides an online platform that connects Sellers who have spare tickets for sale with buyers seeking to buy and attend such events (collectively, the "Services")
“Buyer” means a Member who requests from a Seller the purchase of a Listing via the Takemyspare website or Services, or a Member who attends an event and is not the Seller for the associated Listing.
"Listing" means a spare ticket that is listed by a Seller as available for sale via the Takemyspare website and Services.
“Members” means a person who completes Takemyspare's account registration process, including but not limited to Buyers and Sellers
“Payment Information” means information including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address.
“Personal Information” means information (which may include sensitive information) relating to a living individual who is or can be identified either from that information or from that information in conjunction with other information that is in, or is likely to come into, the possession of Takemyspare.
“Seller” means a Member who creates a Listing via the Takemyspare website and Services.
“Third Parties” means companies or persons not related by common ownership or control (i.e. non-affiliates) or other unrelated individuals. Third Parties can be financial and non-financial companies, or persons other than you and Takemyspare.
“Transaction Data” means data created by your purchases made through our Services such as the merchant’s name and the date, time, and amount of the transaction.
Information Gathering and Use
General Use of information:
We use, store and process information about you for the following general purposes:
- To enable you to access and use the Platform;
- To enable you to communicate with other Members, including but not limited to by sending them messages or other information during the process of matching spare tickets;
- To operate, protect, improve and optimize the Platform and our users’ experience, such as to perform analytics, conduct research, personalize or otherwise customize your experience, and to provide customer service;
- To help create and maintain a trusted and safer environment on the platform such as detection and prevention of actual and potential fraud and other harmful activity, conducting investigations and risk assessments, enforcing our Terms and Conditions, verifying your Listings, verifying any identifications provided by you
- To send you service, support and administrative messages, reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and information requested by you;
- To send you marketing, advertising, and promotional messages and other information that may be of interest to you, including information about our services, or general promotions for partner campaigns and services. You can unsubscribe or opt-out from receiving these communications in your settings
Basic Account Information:
When you create or reconfigure an account, you provide some Personal Information, such as your name, password, email address, or phone number. On the Takemyspare services, your name and basic information are listed publicly, including on your profile page and in search results. Some Takemyspare services, such as searching and viewing public user profiles, do not require registration.
You may use your contact information, such as your email address or phone number when registering with Takemyspare. If you provide Takemyspare with your phone number, you agree to receive text messages to that number from Takemyspare. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services, to market to you, to help prevent spam, fraud, or abuse, and to help others find your account, including through third-party services and client applications. You may use your settings for email and mobile notifications to control notifications you receive from Takemyspare. You may also unsubscribe from a notification by following the instructions contained within the notification or the instructions on our website.
You may provide us with profile information to make public on the Takemyspare service, such as a short biography, your interests, your location, date of birth, or a picture. If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request.
Takemyspare may receive information about your location. For example, you may choose to publish your location in your Takemyspare profile. We may also determine location by using other data from your device, such as precise location information from GPS, information about wireless networks or cell towers near your mobile device, or your IP address. We may use and store information about your location to provide features of our services, such as enabling details about your spare ticket, and to improve and customize the Services, for example, with more relevant content like local trends, stories, ads, and suggestions for tickets.
We may, either directly or through Third-Parties we engage to provide services to us, review, scan, or analyze your communications with other users exchanged via the Platform for fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, product development, research and customer support purposes. For example, as part of our fraud prevention efforts, the Platform may scan and analyze messages to mask contact information and references to other websites. This helps to prevent fraudulent actors from asking Guests to send them money outside of the Platform, such as by bank transfer or other money transfer methods. We may also scan, review or analyze messages for research and product development purposes to help make search, booking and user communications more efficient and effective, as well as to debug, improve and expand product offerings. We will not review, scan, or analyze your communications for sending Third-Party marketing messages to you. We will also not sell these reviews or analyses of communications to Third Parties. We will also use automated methods to carry out these reviews or analyses where reasonably possible. However, from time to time we may have to manually review some communications. By using the Platform, you consent that Takemyspare, in its sole discretion, may, either directly or through Third-Parties we engage to provide services to us, review, scan, analyze, and store your communications, whether done manually or through automated means
You may provide your Payment Information along with your shipping address, to complete a commerce transaction through our Services. To facilitate future purchases, we store your Payment Information (excluding CVV code) and shipping address, which you can remove from your account at any time. We consider your Payment Information and shipping address private and do not make such information public. We collect and store Transaction Data created by your purchases made through our Services such as the merchant’s name and the date, time, and amount of the transaction.
We may transfer, store, use and process your information, including any Personal Information, to countries outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) including the United States. Please note that laws vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and so the privacy laws applicable to the places where your information is transferred to or stored, used or processed in, may be different from the privacy laws applicable to the place where you are resident.
Your Personal Information may be disclosed as follows:
A. Parts of your public profile page that contain some Personal Information may be displayed in other parts of the Platform to other users for marketing purposes or if you post content in a forum or other features on the Platform that are visible to the general public.
B. Your public Listing page will always include some minimum information such as your name, location, age, interests, your profile description, your public profile photo, your credibility rating, and any additional information you share with other Members. Parts of your public Listing page may be displayed in other parts of the Platform to other Members and/or Third Party platforms for marketing purposes. The Platform may also display the event’s approximate geographic location on a map, such that a user can see the general area of the event.
C. The Platform allows your public profile and public Listing pages to be included in search engines, in which case your public profile and public Listing pages will be indexed by search engines and may be published as search results. This option is enabled by default, and you may opt out of this feature by changing your settings on the Platform. If you change your settings or the information on your public profile or public Listing pages, Third-Party search engines may not update their databases quickly or at all. We do not control the practices of Third-Party search engines, and they may use caches containing outdated information, including any information indexed by the search engine before you change your settings or the information on your public profile or public Listing pages.
D. When you submit a request to buy or match with a spare ticket, your full name, and other Personal Information you agree to pass through to the Seller will become visible to the Seller of any Listing you buy or request to buy. We may also disclose parts of your public profile; your credibility rating; and any additional information you share with other Members.
E. When a transaction and meeting takes place between a Buyer and Seller, we ask the Buyer and Seller to review the credibility of the transaction, such as, was the Buyer or Seller present at the event, did they attend in good faith and on time and was the ticket valid for entry to the event. If you choose to provide a review, your review will affect the credibility rating of the member, of which it will be displayed publicly. Likewise, another member’s review of you as a Seller or Buyer will affect your credibility rating.
F. We may also publish, disclose and use non-personal information for industry and market analysis, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.
If you make a payment as part of a commerce transaction through our Services, we may provide the Seller, commerce provider, marketplace, or charity with your name, email address, shipping address, Payment Information and Transaction Data to facilitate payment processing, order fulfilment, and dispute resolution (including payment disputes) and to help prevent, detect, and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities. Please refer to these Third Parties’ privacy policies for information about their privacy practices.
Law and Harm:
Non-Private or Non-Personal Information:
We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your public user profile information and shared tickets or reports to advertisers about unique users who saw or clicked on their ads after we have removed any private Personal Information (such as your name or contact information).
Your Personal Information
You can also permanently delete your Takemyspare account by contacting us at email@example.com. When your account is deactivated, it is not viewable on Takemyspare.com. Keep in mind that search engines and other Third Parties may still retain copies of your public information, like your user profile information, even after you have deleted the information from the Takemyspare Services or deactivated your account.
Policy towards Children
If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access, correct, delete, or modify the Personal Information you provided to us and associated with your account.
Our Services are not directed to persons under 18. If you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, please contact us. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the individual’s account.
Securing your data
Takemyspare will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your Personal Information. Takemyspare will store all the Personal Information you provide on its secure servers. Information relating to electronic transactions entered into via this website will be protected by encryption technology.
